Standardized tests are, merely and perpetually, a way of measuring the way a mutual, universally defined level of success is maintained (“Should schools require standardized tests?” Star-Advertiser, Insight, Dec. 8). The standardized test is a measuring stick — no more, no less. It is the unfeeling data point used to help people in their lives.
