Letter: Heartening to see Hawaii utilities in cooperation | Honolulu Star-Advertiser

It was so good to see Kauai Island Utility Cooperative sharing valuable lessons learned from structuring its electrical grid, which appears built for resilience (“Utilities work to strengthen grid resiliency,” Star-Advertiser, June 22). It’s even better that it is sharing with Hawaiian Electric, which itself is making a huge commitment each year in essential preplanning to make the grid more resilient and avoid unplanned outages.
