In Damodar village, adjacent to the Ranthambore Tiger Reserve in Sawai Madhopur, a leopard carried off a 3-year-old boy playing at home. The mother tried to save her son by running after the leopard, but was unsuccessful and fainted from shock. Following the incident, villagers reached the forest department outpost and informed them. Forest officials promised to arrive at the scene, but the boy was found dead about 2 days later.
