The situation on the apprenticeship market in the German capital is currently not rosy: with around 5,000 job seekers and only around 500 open apprenticeships, there are about ten times as many apprentices as places, reports the ORF-Wien on Sunday. The labour market service (AMS) therefore complains of a steadily decreasing number of apprenticeships and insists that the companies may offer more apprenticeships again.
