The movement of President Mamadi Doumbouya, who runs Guinea, and his allied parties, won more than 80% of the seats in Parliament during the legislative elections of 31 May 2026. For a representative of the opposition Union of Democratic Forces of Guinea, "this election was organised under conditions of exclusion." The leader of the Alliance for a New Guinea (AGN), who won four seats, congratulated him for this "success".
