Berlin is turning left as Die Linke makes a successful election and gets 26 percent in the important local elections, according to ZDF's polling station survey. In the former Swedish regions of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in northeastern Germany, the far-right AfD becomes the largest party with 38 percent, according to the public service broadcaster.
