Sir Kevin Sinfield Completes Final MND Fundraising Challenge for Teammate Rob Burrow
The fundraiser raised more than £1.165 million and was joined by people affected by MND on an extra mile during the final day.
On Saturday, Sir Kevin Sinfield finished his '7 in 7: The Grand Finale' challenge at Old Trafford, delivering the trophy before the Super League Grand Final between Warrington Wolves and Wakefield Trinity.
Inspired by his late friend Rob Burrow, who died in 2024, Sinfield completed seven ultramarathons in seven days, raising over £11 million for the MND community since 2020.
Prince William and Princess Catherine surprised Sinfield on Tuesday at Wakefield Trinity's stadium, while his son Jack Sinfield lined up for Wakefield Trinity in the Grand Final.
Lindsey Burrow called the effort 'bittersweet' and 'testimony to Kevin,' as the latest challenge raised more than £1.3 million for the Motor Neurone Disease Association and partner charities.
Addressing the crowd, Sinfield framed the struggle against MND as a 'war,' stating 'the MND community and the MND families need us' and urging continued support beyond the challenge.
