Ledger Hires New Security Chief as AI-Driven Crypto Hacks Hit $1.4 Billion
Bloomberg reports Ledger has hired Oded Blatman, previously chief information security officer at Fireblocks, as its new combined CIO and CISO. The hire comes as crypto hacks and exploits have cost the industry $1.4 billion over the past year, with Ledger CTO Charles Guillemet warning that AI has made a working smart contract exploit cost as little as $1.22 to generate.
