From LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS OF BOWLING GREEN The League of Women Voters of Bowling Green held its 74th annual meeting on June 13 at First Presbyterian Church in Bowling Green. Karen Wood of the scholarship committee announced the awarding of two $2,000 scholarships to local students. Members also readopted the league’s programs and policies for 2026-27 and elected new officers and board directors. The newly-elected leadership includes: Program co-vice president: Ellen Dalton Communications vice president: Emily Dowling Treasurer: Gale Swanka Directors: Elayne Jacoby and Deborah Schocket The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan, grassroots organization committed to protecting and expanding voting rights and ensuring everyone is represented in the democracy.
