- After a double bogey on the par-5 14th, both the Kupcho–Gotterup and Coughlin–Novak teams forced a recovery, with Coughlin's 17th bunker shot aiding their comeback as Novak pursues another team title this year after his Zurich Classic win with Ben Griffin.
- Behind the leaders, Jennifer Kupcho and Chris Gotterup, and Nelly Korda and Denny McCarthy were three shots behind at 70, with Lexi Thompson and Wyndham Clark two shots back after a 72.
