Sports dome collapses in Sudbury under weight of snow cover

A sports dome has collapsed at a Sudbury, Ont. high school under the weight of snow. Bay Today reports the Lancer Dome at Lasalle Secondary School collapsed from a March 15-16 storm that hit the area. The dome covered an artificial turf playing surface whose use has since been cancelled until further notice. An insurance claim has been filed by the Rainbow District School Board. Once weather permits, contractors are to assess the situation.
