Shortly after it has been known that the state company Acuamed opts for a solar megaplant over 140 hectares in San Miguel de Salinas, Los Montesinos, Almoradí and Orihuela to supply the desaladora of Torrevieja, the Chamber of Commerce of Orihuela has proposed the reservoir of La Pedrera as a location of the photovoltaic plant that will serve the infrastructure, an idea that the government itself already shuffled three years ago.
