ULA Rocket to Launch 27 of Amazon's Project Kuiper Internet Satellites From Florida
The launch will add 27 satellites to Amazon’s Kuiper constellation, which aims to deploy over 3,200 broadband internet satellites globally, ULA said.
- On Thursday, September 25, 2025, United Launch Alliance will launch an Atlas V 551 from Space Launch Complex-41 at Cape Canaveral carrying 27 Project Kuiper satellites at 8:09 a.m. EDT.
- Amazon has contracted nearly 100 launches across ULA, Blue Origin, Arianespace and SpaceX to deploy 3,232 satellites by 2029, accelerating Project Kuiper's rapid deployment.
- The Atlas V AV-108 stands 205 feet tall and will place payloads into near-circular LEO of about 280 miles at 51.9 degrees inclination.
- With this launch, Amazon's Kuiper constellation will total 129 satellites, and internet service aims to start once 578 satellites are deployed by late 2025.
- On October 6, 2025, United Launch Alliance plans another Atlas V mission to launch two prototype Kuiper satellites as Amazon faces an FCC deadline to operate half of 1,618 satellites by July 30, 2026.
