South Korean shares fell over 1% on Thursday as escalating Middle East tensions and attacks near the Strait of Hormuz weighed on investor sentiment. The KOSPI declined 1.37%, with major technology and heavyweight stocks including Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix and Samsung BioLogics falling, while foreign investors remained net sellers.
