- Replying to the disciplinary notice, Surekha maintained that her daughter's comments were personal, stating: "Expecting another person to take political responsibility or demanding an explanation for someone's opinions merely due to family relations is improper."
- The Chief Minister's Office has recommended Surekha's removal to Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla, while Reddy simultaneously rescinded G Chinna Reddy's appointment as vice-chairman of the Telangana Planning Board with immediate effect.
- Consultations with top Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi preceded the government's appointment of Nrellla Sharada as chairperson of the Telangana State Commission for Women and G Sudha Rani as Kakatiya Urban Development Authority head.
