Jakarta, Technologue.id — The Ministry of Communication and Digital (Komdigi) is utilizing the cellular operator network and frequency monitoring system to assist in the search for five journalists and three crew members and guides around Mount Anak Krakatau.
Information from cellular operators regarding telecommunications activity in the monitoring area is forwarded to the SAR team for input.
The last contact of 5 journalists and 3 crew members (ABK) who went missing in the Sunda Strait waters while covering the activities of Mount Anak Krakatau was detected on Sebesi Island on Monday (7/9/2026).
Komdigi utilized cellular operator networks and frequency monitoring systems to track the signals of telecommunications devices belonging to five journalists who went missing in the Sunda Strait.
