- Police have registered two FIRs and are examining social media videos and CCTV footage, but no arrests have been made, Kolkata Police said.
- Trinamool and CPI accused the BJP of attempting to impose dietary restrictions, while BJP MP Sukanta Majumdar said no one has verified if the attackers were from the BJP, and event organisers denied instructing any ban.
