After the ward reorganization, the number of wards in Kolkata Municipality has increased from 144 to 209. That is, 65 new wards have been added compared to the previous one. On the other hand, the number of wards in Howrah Municipality has been increased from 50 to 68. That is, there has been an increase of 18 wards.
