Kirk Cousins Hits 301 Career TD Passes as Raiders Rout Dolphins in Opener
Cousins completed 21 of 30 passes for 160 yards and became the 15th NFL quarterback with 300-plus touchdown passes.
On Sunday, the Las Vegas Raiders defeated the Miami Dolphins 27-13 at Allegiant Stadium in their Week 1 matchup, with veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins leading the offense in his Raiders debut.
The Dolphins fielded the NFL's youngest roster with 14 rookies, while Cousins signed a one-year deal with the Raiders after his release from Atlanta following two seasons.
Connecting twice with running back Ashton Jeanty and once with wide receiver Jack Bech, Cousins threw for 160 yards and three touchdowns to power the Raiders' offensive efficiency.
Miami quarterback Malik Willis completed 15 of 27 passes for 220 yards with one rushing touchdown, though a fourth-quarter interception and missed field goals halted the Dolphins' comeback efforts.
Both teams return to the field next Sunday, as the Raiders travel to SoFi Stadium to face the Los Angeles Chargers and the Dolphins visit the San Francisco 49ers.
