Prince Louis' adorable moment with grandpa King Charles spotted at Easter service
The king reached out to Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte as the royal family attended Easter Sunday services, with the children making their first public appearance of 2026.
On Sunday, King Charles III and Queen Camilla attended the Easter Sunday service at Windsor Castle, where the King shared a warm moment with his grandson, Prince Louis, in a rare public gesture.
Most of the Royal Family arrived on foot at St George's Chapel for the traditional Easter Matins service, including Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales, attending for the first time since Kate's cancer diagnosis.
Lip-Reading specialist Jeremy Freeman disclosed that Prince Louis offered the King a sincere "Happy Easter" greeting, which moved the monarch, who tenderly touched his grandson's cheek in an uncommon public gesture.
Following the service, the King interacted with well-wishers, saying "Oh my goodness gracious me, thank you very much," while Queen Camilla accepted a posy of flowers from 10-year-old Kit Bannan.
Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis marked their first 2026 appearance at the service, having last attended church services with the Royal Family on Christmas Day 2025.
