On Thursday, April 30, 2026, King Charles III and Queen Camilla concluded their four-day U.S. trip in Front Royal, Virginia, with a parade celebrating the United States' 250th anniversary of independence.
Before reaching Virginia, the royal couple toured the nation's capital, New York City, and Arlington National Cemetery, honoring the United States' 250th anniversary.
Thousands crowded downtown for the parade featuring Appalachian culture performances; resident Josh Forbes said, "It was amazing," after seeing the royals in person on Main Street.
After the parade, the King and Queen visited Shenandoah National Park and a horse farm, while schools in Warren County closed to allow student participation in the festivities.
Following the tour, the pair heads to Bermuda for two days before returning home, concluding their first stateside trip since Charles became king in 2022.
On their last day on official tour, British kings returned a few minutes to the White House to say goodbye to the president and the first lady. Before heading for Bermuda, they moved to the Virgin State to enjoy nature and attend a celebration for the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence.
