Exes Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Both Support Daughter North at Her 1st Solo Concert
The 13-year-old performed her first solo headline show to a sold-out crowd, with clips showing both parents in the VIP section.
On Saturday, September 5, 13-year-old North West performed her first sold-out headline concert at The Vic Theatre in Chicago, with parents Kim Kardashian and Kanye West attending separately from opposite sides of the venue.
The performance followed the abrupt cancellation of North's planned 14-date Kimokawaii Tour with rapper Molly Santana last month. Rather than stepping away, she committed to this solo date in her father's hometown.
North played all six songs from her 11-minute debut EP N0rth4evr, released in May, including an unreleased track that sampled her father's 2008 song Coldest Winter. She described the material as "fun, relieving and exciting."
Kardashian and West, who divorced in 2021 after seven years of marriage, maintained distance at the theater while supporting their daughter. The former couple continues to co-parent their four children and support their individual endeavors.
North has increasingly expressed interest in music as a serious pursuit rather than just a hobby. She recently shared ambitions to balance her growing music career with a regular job, such as working at a Starbucks.
