- Comedian Shane Gillis will preside over the ceremony as host, while Hart transitions from his role as the roast-master who led the 2024 live special honoring NFL legend Tom Brady.
- Netflix reported the Brady event secured 1.67 billion minutes viewed in its first week, drawing two million viewers on opening night alone.
- Embracing the challenge, Hart stated, "There has never been a comedian that has sat in the chair &.. I will be the first &," adding he can "take all of the hard punches."
- The Netflix Joke Fest runs May 4-10 across Los Angeles, featuring 350 live events including a separate performance by Gillis at the Hollywood Bowl.
