Kentucky Scam Targets Jury Duty Callers with Bitcoin Fine

Kentucky State Police say callers pose as officers, demand Bitcoin for fake jury-duty fines, and warn the money is nearly impossible to recover.

FRANKFORT, Ky. (KT) – A combined jury duty and cryptocurrency scam is making the rounds in Kentucky once again, according to the Kentucky State Police (KSP). The KSP says scammers, pretending to be local or state law enforcement, will call and claim that you missed jury duty, then pressure you to pay a fine to “resolve” the fake situation.
