Fightful Select said AEW has discussed signing Kairi Sane, but no deal is done as multiple promotions remain interested.

- The 37-year-old former WWE Women Tag Team Champion and NXT Women Champion has not wrestled since an April WWE Raw tag team match. Her spring release surprised fans as she was mid-storyline with Asuka and IYO SKY.
- Several companies across the United States and abroad are interested in the star. However, the Marigold promotion in Japan is not expected to be Kairi Sane's destination.
- AEW recently added male talent including New Level and the Motor City Machine Guns to its ranks.
- Fans who expected to see Kairi Sane at Wembley Stadium for the AEW All event in London 2026 were disappointed. She was never factored into the plans for the event.
