Honeycutt Dominates Richmond for Second Career Truck Series Win
Honeycutt led 225 laps and won by 1.313 seconds over Grant Enfinger in the 250-lap Truck Series race, officials said.
On Saturday, Aug. 15, TRICON Garage driver Kaden Honeycutt won the Black's Tire 250 at Richmond Raceway, dominating the weather-delayed NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race.
Severe weather and a generator fire forced a one-day postponement from Friday. Honeycutt led 225 of the 250 laps on the 0.75-mile track, controlling the race throughout.
Honeycutt's 225 laps led surpassed his 75 previous series races combined. He finished 1.313 seconds ahead of reigning series champion Corey Heim, his TRICON Garage teammate.
The victory trims Front Row Motorsports driver Layne Riggs' championship lead to 61 points. Tyler Ankrum moved into 10th in standings after Stewart Friesen crashed and finished last.
Drivers prepare for the regular season finale at New Hampshire Motor Speedway next Saturday. The event is the final opportunity to secure a Chase position.
