Daniel Marion, owner of prestigious restaurants in France, was convicted of racist public insults by the Bordeaux Correctional Court. "Mediapart" had told how, within a few hours, he had covered his employees with insults at their workplace.
The owner of the establishment Le Régent in Bordeaux was found guilty of racist insults against some 15 employees. He is sentenced to a fine of 2,000 euros and to pay between 1,000 and 1,200 euros to the victims. For the civil parties, the feeling is mixed.
Daniel Marion, owner of the Regent in Bordeaux, was sentenced this Monday 5 October to 2000 euros fine for racist insults against his employees on 6 October 2025. The correctional court also ordered him to compensate the employees and the associations constituted civil parties.
