Just Eat launches new service to help people with the 'most tedious chore'
The service offers 24-hour turnaround and free collection and delivery as Just Eat expands into convenience services.
On Tuesday, August 18, Just Eat launched a laundry collection and delivery partnership with Laundryheap in London, integrating dry cleaning and washing services directly into its mobile application.
Designed to simplify household chores during summer, the partnership aims to make Just Eat the 'go-to convenience platform,' said Caroline Bates, grocery and new verticals director at Just Eat.
Laundryheap serves 400,000 customers across 167 countries with 24-hour turnaround, offering services from £1.85 per item plus free collection and delivery through its platform.
Expansion to Birmingham, Manchester, and Edinburgh will occur over six months; Deyan Dimitrov, CEO at Laundryheap, said 'Laundry has quite literally never been easier.'
Collections are promised within two hours of ordering via the app, though standard service fees apply; Laundryheap provides bags at pick-up if customers need assistance.
