Nearly ten investigations for alleged corrupt acts are carried out by the Public Prosecutor's Office against Juan José Santiváñez, whose dismissal would be discussed this Friday in the plenary of Congress.
Santiváñez has informed the president of the country, Dina Boluarte, of her resignation in a letter in which she thanked the president for her "trust" to appoint him minister and pointed out that the reason for her decision is her "anxiety to participate as a candidate" in the upcoming elections.
