John Lucas Cocchiara died peacefully on Sept. 28, 2025, at 86 years old. He was born on Sept. 16, 1939, in New Orleans and was raised there by his parents Joseph and Rose DiLeo Cocchiara.  He attended Tulane University and Tulane University School of Medicine. He married Bonnie Sue Harris in 1960. John started his medical practice as a general surgeon in 1971 and practiced for over 40 years in Lake Charles, La. He enjoyed helping patients and th…
