Jing An Kerry Centre Launches "Axis for Sparks" Culture Season, Igniting City Creative Energy in the Heart of the City
The season includes MONOCLE’s first China pop-up store and café, plus a forum that drew nearly 20 industry leaders and more than 100 entrepreneurs.
JingAn Kerry Centre officially launched its 2026 cultural season, titled "Axis for Sparks," weaving diverse content into an urban narrative through spatial storytelling running through June 30, 2026.
In partnership with Monocle, JAKC is curating diverse cultural experiences, including China's first pop-up store and the world's first "The Entrepreneurs Live" forum held April 29 at JingAn Shangri-La Hotel.
The "Read and Reconstruct – Zhang Xiaodong's Dragon-scale Binding and Contemporary Practice" exhibition opened April 21 at 57 & 65 An Yi Road, showcasing sixteen years of artistic practice by Zhang.
JAKC solidifies its position as a gateway for overseas brands entering China, with recent debuts including California-based Malbon, British premium brand Sweaty Betty, and American lifestyle brand Vuori, which returned April 27 with a "DreamKnit" space.
By embedding cultural depth into commercial spaces, the season enriches the "First in Shanghai 4.0" initiative, establishing JAKC as an urban cultural axis where diverse ideas meet and spark inspiration through June 30.
