On Saturday, Jharkhand Higher and Technical Education and Urban Development Minister Sudivya Kumar Sonu passed away at Mercy Hospital in Giridih.
Sonu held multiple key portfolios within the Hemant Soren-led Jharkhand cabinet, including tourism, arts, culture, sports, and youth affairs.
Twice elected to the Giridih Assembly in 2019 and 2024, the Giridih MLA worked closely with Chief Minister Hemant Soren on various government and party matters.
