Jerez is on alert after registering the first cases of the summer in a golden eagle and a cassowary at the Zoo, while Algodonales is on alert due to a mosquito detected in the mapping. The West Nile virus is waning in the province of Cádiz.
The authorities carry out a preventive treatment throughout the enclosure, where a second case of a casuario has been found. The City asks for calm, since these species are not transmitters of the pathogen.
One case concerns an elderly royal eagle who has died after being positive.
The Junta includes the municipality in the alert area, but the City Council emphasizes that they are "isolated cases" without transmission to humans. More information: Andalusia continues to add cases of the Nile virus: three new positives in the province of Seville raise to 34 the positive ones.
The facility has reported the death of a Royal Eagle and has begun to develop preventive treatment throughout the compound.
