Jennifer Lopez Reflects on Having 'Very Little Help' Raising Her and Marc Anthony's Twins
Lopez said the twins won scholarships and college acceptances as she reflected on raising them with little practical help after her split from Marc Anthony.
On Monday, Jennifer Lopez told the SmartLess podcast she raised her 18-year-old twins Max and Emme with "very little help," expressing pride in their college acceptances and scholarships.
Following their 2014 divorce, Lopez and Marc Anthony maintained joint custody of Max and Emme, whom they welcomed in 2008; Lopez recently reflected on the emotional transition as the twins prepare to leave for college in August.
Emphasizing the "unbreakable bond," she told hosts Jason Bateman, Will Arnett, and Sean Hayes, "You did that s*** all by yourself. Like, you had very little help."
The singer described the family unit she created as "a seriously strong unit," noting that she and Anthony have prioritized their children's needs through their joint custody arrangement since 2014.
Before the twins depart in August, Lopez is attempting to impart every lesson she has learned, noting that while they may resist her influence, they ultimately mimic her good traits through observation.
