The Supreme Court's Second Petty Bench (Chief Justice Mamoru Miura) ruled on the 3rd to dismiss the defendant's appeal against a 26-year-old corporal assigned to Kadena Air Base, who was charged with kidnapping for indecent purposes and non-consensual sexual intercourse for allegedly approaching a girl under the age of 16 whom he did not know in a park in central Okinawa Island, taking her to his home, and sexually assaulting her.
