İzmir Bar Association President Sefa Yılmaz stated that the new judicial year started with serious problems in terms of judicial independence and the rule of law. Yılmaz, reacting to the non-implementation of the AYM and ECHR decisions, the suppression of the defense and the blocking of lawyers' right to speak at the ceremony, said Yılmaz, “The Izmir Bar Association does not remain silent”.
