Video. Dozens of Israelis demonstrated outside the Knesset in West Jerusalem on 17 September, accusing political leaders of using regional tensions to interfere with the 27 October parliamentary election.
A group of Israelis gathered in front of the Knesset to protest against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his government, whom they criticized for escalating tensions throughout the region in order to gain voter support ahead of the elections to be held in the country on October 27.
Israeli protester Eilat Geyer: "We fear that (Netanyahu) will do anything to turn the election results in his favor. He will resort to provocations and escalating tensions. He might even start a war to say 'there is an emergency that prevents us from going to elections'."
