Two Palestinians were killed and others injured on Saturday, as a result of renewed shelling of the Israeli occupation, in areas south-west of Gaza City.
According to Israeli forces, the military leader targeted was hiding in the compound of the Martyrs' Hospital of Al-Aqsa in Deir Al-Balah. They do not specify whether he was killed and did not reveal his identity.
The Israeli Army stated in its statement that it alerted the Gaza Strip health authorities on Thursday "on the prohibition of the use of medical facilities for terrorist purposes".
