Israeli strike kills two people including a 3-year-old boy, Gaza medics say
An Israeli airstrike killed two Palestinians, including a three-year-old child named Tayyem Hamdan, near a bakery in Deir al-Balah, Gaza, according to Gaza medics.
The Israeli military stated it killed a Hamas militant named Hussam Nusair, who they claimed had advanced attacks against Israeli forces and civilians.
A U.S.-backed ceasefire began last October halted major fighting in Gaza but did not end Israeli strikes aimed at preventing attacks by Hamas and other militants.
Since the ceasefire, over 1,300 Palestinians and four Israeli soldiers have died, according to reports from Gazan health officials and the Israeli military.
