Iraq says it transported 2 million barrels of crude through Strait of Hormuz
Iraq's state-owned Oil Tanker Company transported 2 million barrels of Iraqi crude aboard a very large crude carrier (VLCC) through the Strait of Hormuz, in what its director general described on Saturday as the company's first such operation in decades.
On Saturday, the Iraqi oil tanker company announced the transfer of 2 million barrels of Iraqi crude oil by a giant VLCC outside the Strait of Hormuz, for the first time in decades, in a step aimed at strengthening Iraq ' s transportation and marketing capabilities in crude oil.
The Iraqi Oil Tankers Company transported 2 million barrels of crude oil through the Strait of Hormuz for the first time in decades. General Manager Ali Qais Abduljabbar stated that they are working on acquiring new tankers to expand their fleet.
In a venture that the state-run IOTC described as the company's first such venture in decades.
