Iran Says Peace Path Remains Open as US Signals Ongoing Dialogue
Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian said now is the best time for a peace agreement with the US because Iran is victorious and seeks to secure its rights through dialogue while warning against internal division.
Pezeshkian defended the June memorandum of understanding with the US, stating Iran made no concessions and that implementation would be reciprocal, despite doubts about US reliability.
He highlighted improving relations with neighboring countries and called the US unreliable but expressed willingness to move forward diplomatically.
Pezeshkian affirmed Iran will defend its rights without surrendering its military and defensive capabilities, rejected territorial expansion ambitions, and condemned US and Israeli attacks while emphasizing the importance of internal cohesion.
