The Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission has approved a provision mandating fees for services provided to ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz. Commission spokesperson Hassan Qashqavi stated that the fees would be collected in Iranian rials or another currency to be determined by Tehran.
