In an interview in New Delhi, Masoud Pezeshkian said Iran was working with Oman on a maritime framework for the Strait of Hormuz and that the waterway could open under internationally established principles if the US ended its blockade and related activities. His remarks addressed India's concerns over seafarer safety and energy supplies while also signalling Tehran's push for wider cooperation with New Delhi.
