IPSWICH bands were once again well represented in the original Hot 100 songs counted down by 4ZZZ on Sunday. Usually held on New Year’s Day, 4ZZZ held the countdown on Sunday to mark its 50th anniversary, the station’s first broadcast taking place on December 8, 1975 from a hand-built transmitter in a DIY studio at the University of Queensland’s St Lucia campus.
