Inspector general releases report on deadly Stamford standoff

- Special Response Team members in two BearCat armored vehicles were fired on and retreated after Parkington shot at and damaged the trucks, while police drones were shot down before one located Parkington with a gunshot wound to the head.
- The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner on Dec. 4 ruled Parkington's death a suicide from gunshot wounds, classified the other death as homicide, and multiple agencies continue investigating.
