During his first visit to Poland as Federal Minister of Finance, Lars Klingbeil called for more European independence, as an example of armament.
Reporting on the visit of the German Finance Minister and Vice Chancellor to Warsaw, the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung newspaper called Poland a "growth engine." "Strong economy, weak government – that's how you can characterize the situation."
Finance Minister Andrzej Domański met yesterday with Lars Klingbeil, his German counterpart, during the latter's visit to Warsaw. Following the conference, the German ministry published a statement in Polish stating that "decisions, for example regarding the European capital market," are being prepared.
