IndyCar Confirms First Eight Races of 2027

FOX will carry every race as IndyCar opens the first half of its 2027 schedule with three straight weekends and returns to marquee venues.

  • On Wednesday, IndyCar released Phase One of the 2027 NTT IndyCar Series schedule, confirming the first eight races with all events broadcast on FOX. The season opens March 7 at St. Petersburg.
  • For the second straight year, the series will open with three races on consecutive weekends, mirroring 2026's calendar. This accelerated start includes stops in St. Petersburg, Phoenix, and Arlington.
  • Penske Entertainment Corp. President and CEO Mark Miles said the series has experienced "another remarkable year of growth through our powerful partnership with FOX Sports." This marks the third consecutive season with all races on network television.
  • Following the season debut, the series returns to Phoenix Raceway for a joint showcase with the NASCAR Cup Series. This partnership contributed to 16 percent viewership growth, the highest since 2008.
  • Phase Two of the 2027 schedule, detailing summer and season-ending races, will be released in the coming weeks. Several dates for the back half remain to be determined.
