- Between Adra and Joychandipahar in West Bengal, the Joychandipahar South Eastern Railway approved Rs 272 crore for an 11-km bypass line to reduce congestion and facilitate industrial goods transport.
- Modernizing signalling infrastructure, the Railways authorized Rs 233 crore for installing electronic interlocking at 21 stations in the Samastipur division of the East Central Railway to improve fault detection and operational management.
- Upon completion, these three projects will increase Indian Railways' capacity to handle additional freight traffic while strengthening network safety, supporting the system's broader modernisation goals.
