- Born to meet maritime challenges, the service underlined its role within the PM's Amrit Kaal and doctrines of SAGAR and MAHASAGAR, emphasizing self-reliance and regional security.
- Practically, the ICG notes it maintains vigil over India's EEZ, 11,098.01 km of coastline, and uses ships and aircraft from Delhi headquarters, rescuing over 11,800 lives.
- Locally, outreach programmes showcased by Lakshadweep district headquarters at Kavaratti, Androth and Minicoy included painting, quizzes, ship visits, coastal clean-up and tree plantation, while top leaders extended regards and the ICG gained recognition to preside over the 50th Coast Guard Global Summit in 2025.
