- The resolution condemned the attacks as breaches of international law and demanded that Tehran immediately stop all attacks while complying with international humanitarian law to protect civilians.
- Iravani said that since February 28, more than 1,348 civilians have been killed, over 17,000 injured, and 19,734 civilian sites damaged, including homes and schools.
- The Security Council expressed solidarity with the affected countries and their people, and Waltz thanked co-sponsoring states, saying 'And these consequences that the United States does not bring alone'.
- Amid maritime risks, the text condemned threats to close the Strait of Hormuz and Bab Al Mandab and affirmed member states' right to defend vessels under international law.
